This study, taught by Pastor Barry Forder, is an overview of the post-exile books of Ezra and Nehemiah, and was our 18th session in our Through-the-Bible-in-a-Year series, recorded during 2014 as part of our Sunday morning family services.
After being exiled from their homeland for 70 years on account of their failure to obey God’s law, God was faithful to his word (given through the prophet Jeremiah) and Israel were allowed home. However, only around 50,000 returned, and as foretold in the book of Daniel, it was ‘troubleous times’ as they set about rebuilding their Temple and the city of Jerusalem.
Once again, there are a multitude of lessons for us today!
May this overview prompt you to undertake your own study of these divinely inspired books.
The PDF slides are from the PowerPoint presentation used during the teaching session.
