This teaching on Luke 15 was given by pastor Barry Forder on 14th May 2023 at Calvsary Portsmouth.
In this study we see Jesus, in reponse to the Pharisees’ murmuring about His time spent with ‘sinners’, give three of His most well known parables:
- The parable of the lost sheep
- The parable of the lost coin
- The parable of the lost son
Each once challenges the Pharisees notion of salvation and their view of ‘sinners’, and who was ‘worthy’ and who was not!
Each also shows God’s compassion for those who have gone astray, and that He initiates the mechanism by which they might return. It is shown to be entirely a work of Grace.
